We are pleased to announce a Poster Session for the Math Day event. We encourage all students attending the workshop to participate in the session.

Round 1: Submission of title and abstract by November 26, 2022 via the registration system.

Round 2: Submission of the poster by invitation. Deadline: November 29, 2022.

       • The collected posters will be printed and presented in the learning commons during the Poster Session.

 

The 2022 Best Poster Award was awarded to Mr. Jingfeng WANG, from the Department of Mathematics, University of Macau. 

The title of the awarded poster is "Dual consistency in DWR-based mesh adaptation for Euler equations".

Here is an introduction to Mr. Jingfeng WANG and his work:

Mr. WANG Jingfeng's research interest is in computational compressible fluid dynamics. Specifically, he focuses on the design of h-adaptive finite volume method, related analysis and coding. His poster concluded recent progress of his research work towards the dual consistent DWR method for h-adaptivity in solving Euler equations, in which the importance of dual consistency was demonstrated clearly. Besides the theoretical study for this problem, he also provides a module in AFVM4CFD, a C++ library developed and maintained by the group he is from, for the proposed method, to numerically demonstrate the significant improvement on the efficiency with the dual consistency in DWR based h-adaptivity.

 

The award ceremony was held offline at the poster zone during the Poster Session on Dec 2.
